Steve arrives, having having come willingly after he was told that his world was in danger. He's reunited with his best friend Bucky Barnes, at the time believing him to be dead.

After investigating a weird sound in the middle of the night, courtesy of the Hedley Kow, the two of them end up separated in the wrong castle. Steve meets and is helped by a young woman named Ariadne.

He has his worst memory broadcast for all to see. He attends his first training, and later accompanies some of his fellow Seelie and Unseelie to Maupertius, concerned about what would be done to the prisoner being taken to Reynard. (POWs and torture, kind of a sensitive spot.) Steve was one of the ones able to escape, and immediately and unexpectedly returns home and lives two years with no memory of the Drabwurld. During this time he finds out that Bucky is in fact alive and has been used as a brainwash assassin by Hydra, who has grown and flourished inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. This makes their reunion in the Drabwurld bittersweet. Bucky soon disappears, with Steve expecting to see him again, fearing the change.

Steve helps chase the moon. After being tricked by Chloe and forced to fight a dragon by Lumina, he learns that chivalry doesn't always pay. But for his efforts he receives a boon of Bucky's dog tags.

He attends the Samhain ball and actually dances with not one, but three beautiful ladies (Ariadne, Chloe, Hermione). But where there's fun, fighting is sure to follow. Steve assists in the Battle of Cothromach, not agreeing with the pressure that's being put on Sansa Stark to marry. He witnesses Unseelie troops suddenly bursting into flames. He is later named a Shield of Cothromach, which he will take pretty seriously.

The seeds for Drabwurld baseball are sewn, and in that post he learns that Bucky is back, and changed just as he'd feared. He reunites with him, and for awhile the two stay at Ariadne's manor, where they meet a couple of young lovebirds young teenagers named Junpei and Yukari. They, along with Bucky, Ariadne, and Dave become V.I.P.s.

Steve later makes himself useful by helping with some repairs at the Station. But with the war heating up, and Ariande being pulled into it, Steve asks Bucky to return to La Llorona to look out for her, as he's Unseelie and wouldn't cause any suspicion. Steve goes to ask King Ridire himself how he's supposed to fight his best friend and other people he cares about and receives an answer that solidifies thoughts in Steve's mind. He later has another disturbing vision that is shared with a few others.

Steve assists some buildings and materials to the Seelie Citadel that's being built, and stays there some additional time to help Aveline guard.
