Horror's not really my thing. [ He's a difficult man to frighten, and feels uneasy and unsettled often enough that he doesn't need it in his fiction. ] How do you feel about science fiction?

[steve smiles at the mention of science fiction.]

Used to be a favorite of mine as a kid. Bucky's too. Books, comics, we couldn't get enough of it.

[signifies]

Used to? What happened?

[starspangled]

Nothing really, I've just lived through a lot of the stuff that used to exist only in my imagination. [steve smiles a bit.] They say truth is stranger than fiction - even science fiction.

[signifies]

It is. [ Having lived through an alien invasion, he's not keen on reading about it. ] I'll try to find something we both haven't read yet.

[starspangled]

I'd appreciate that. We can compare notes.

[signifies]

[ Clark nods. ]

Thank you for speaking with me. [ He stands and offers his hand to shake Steve's. ] There's one more thing you should know: that arm is hurting him.

[steve stands with him, accepting his hand and slowing the handshake at his words, his expression concerned before he sighs.]

Thanks for telling me. I'll do everything I can for him.

[ Clark knows he will. James is fortunate to have a friend like him. ]
