not being everywhere at once? it's no one's fault. and no one's hurt, just a little shaken. we're all in the family liason room, which is where they make you sit when they're not sure whether someone you love's going to make it or not. i think it's probably a novelty for everyone not to have to worry.

you can't be everywhere. i don't expect you to be. and i guess one day something happens to everyone, which i feel ok with most of the time. i think nana had the right idea. nurse, right? and you can't help taking care of people.

i have her eyes too. and maybe her hands. and, from what i was told about my father, her taste in handsome men.

so that's 1, 2, maybe 3 things i'm grateful for.
